My approach to box building
All of my boxes are made of solid wood and other natural materials like bone. My goal is to showcase the natural beauty of the wood and its true colors. I finish all my boxes with an oil / varnish blend that is hand rubbed into the wood. The result is something that is a real pleasure to touch and feel. Soft and silky smooth. I do all the work myself in my small home workshop.... usually accompanied by an overabundance of audio books and music.
Curved dovetail urn ashes chamber details
All of my curved dovetail urns have removable bottom panels to access the internal ashes chamber. The lids may or may not be sealed or removable. Options for interiors are endless. They can be lined with velvet, have upper keepsake sections for photos or other small items, or removable trays. I'm also happy to discuss any custom options or ideas you may have.
Having a custom box made
I'm more than happy to work together to create a custom box to suit your needs or adapt any one of my existing designs to work for you. I am happy to provide 3D sketches of your proposed box design with detailed views and dimensions.
Woods used
I mostly use North American hardwoods like black walnut, curly (tiger) maple, and cherry.
Ordering
The best way to get started ordering a custom box is to email me. In stock keepsake boxes will listed as they are available. Much of what I do is upon request. My curved dovetail urns are made to order. I can accept credit cards, PayPal, or a check.
Shipping
I usually ship USPS 3 day priority but I have and will use Fedex or UPS or whichever service you prefer. Each package is fully insured and tracked. I follow all my box shipments online until I know they are safely delivered and in your hands.
